Description

In Swimmer Admiration, Japanese student Ishihara Kasumi begins her freshman year at an Australian college she has dreamed of attending ever since learning that her favorite swimmer, Zoe Kaplan, studies there. For Kasumi, enrolling means more than starting college—it brings her closer to the athlete she admires. Eager to join the swimming club, Kasumi passes the selection test and looks forward to training alongside her idol. What once seemed like a distant dream is finally within reach, giving her every reason to feel excited about the opportunities ahead. Yet being closer to her idol is not quite what Kasumi imagined. As she soon discovers, all that glitters is not gold, and the college experience she anticipated with such enthusiasm may not live up to her expectations.
