Description

Royal Switch is a story-driven adult visual novel loosely inspired by The Prince and the Pauper. Born on the same day and identical in almost every way, Princess Brigitte and peasant Esther have lived vastly different lives—until each finds herself in a world she is unprepared to navigate. Set in a fantasy realm of Elves, Halflings, magic, and talking cats, their intertwined journeys explore corruption, training, submission, self-determination, and empathy. Raised within palace walls, Brigitte has been dismissed as sheltered, spoiled, and unfit to rule. Now alone and captive to a ruthless gang of thieves intent on using her to gain power, she must confront a life far removed from royal privilege. Can she escape their grasp, understand what it means to be powerless, and discover whether surrendering control can offer a freedom of its own? Esther, meanwhile, is a petty thief who has survived on the streets while fleeing her murderous father. Suddenly thrust into the role of figurehead for a nation in turmoil, she faces a different struggle: overcoming a lifetime of fear to take charge of her future, or remaining a pawn of the kingdom’s power brokers. With two female protagonists searching for their true selves, sexually and otherwise, Royal Switch gives its narrative room to unfold. This is a slow-burn fantasy AVN built around gradual development rather than a quick payoff. It includes intimate scenes between women, but does not offer an exclusively girl-girl option.
