Resident Evil: Progeny throws you into a virus-ravaged survival-horror adventure where every encounter tests your timing, resources, and nerve. Developed by Z-Fied, this 2D parody of the Resident Evil series follows a female protagonist through hostile environments filled with dangerous enemies and puzzles. Version 10-01-2014 combines animated 2DCG visuals with a revamped 3D engine, adding layered depth, larger environments, particle effects, and smoother movement to its side-scrolling presentation.

Survival means managing more than ammunition. An infection gauge keeps the pressure on: herbs temporarily slow its rise, while combined herbs can reduce it. Stamina, positioning, and armor also influence combat, giving you reasons to think before charging into an encounter. Fight with knife strikes and firearms, combine ammunition, and adapt to AI-driven enemies as you search for a way forward.

Exploration takes you through outdoor areas and B2, with notes, environmental puzzles, and a D-Zombie boss fight breaking up the action. The expanded inventory organizes skills, files, statistics, and save slots, bringing a familiar survival-horror structure to your progress. A merchant screen and customization options in the Extras Laboratory provide additional features to explore, alongside a Boutique preview.

This build also includes a custom HUD, an in-game pause menu, toggleable cutscenes, and a soundtrack covering everything from tense exploration to boss battles. Expanded sprite work and fixes to saving, collisions, and enemy behavior round out the update.
