Description

In Rehab, getting help wasn’t your decision. Your family and your sponsor made that choice for you, leaving you cut off from the outside world and under constant observation. Assigned to a counselor whose reassuring smile accompanies her efforts to reshape you, you enter a recovery process that feels less like support and more like a challenge to your sense of self. Every conversation seems to carry a hidden test, while daily routines gradually wear away at the person you used to be. Between the tests, the pills, and the doubts spoken only in whispers, it becomes difficult to separate genuine care from control. They call it recovery, but living through it gives you plenty of reasons to question what that word really means. Along the way, you’ll meet fellow patients wrestling with their own struggles, as well as the people overseeing your treatment and watching your every move. These encounters place you among those enduring the process and those directing it, in an environment where even a friendly face can be difficult to trust.
