Description

Kuji Academy is home to a long history, sprawling facilities, a bustling student body—and a pair of resident spirits. In Nekotsuku: Sakura, an ordinary spring day takes a strange turn when Ootsuki, who is helping with the entrance ceremony, sees cat ears suddenly sprout from the head of a new student named Ayano. Before either of them can make sense of what happened, another cat-eared girl appears to apologize. She introduces herself as Tsuki, the younger of the “twin gods” said to watch over the academy. In truth, these supposed guardian deities are two cat ghosts haunting the school, and Tsuki’s older sister, Aki, has possessed Ayano. The unexpected ears are a visible sign of her presence. Unable to leave the school grounds, Aki had hoped that possessing Ayano would finally give her a way out. Unfortunately, her plan has failed: even inside her new host, she remains trapped at the academy. With Aki’s wish unfulfilled and Ayano still possessed, Ootsuki begins the new school year searching for a solution. Together with his good friend Renka and occult enthusiast Yayoi, he sets out to find a way to grant the restless cat spirit’s wish.
