In a village where summer never ends, Ryuta Muranushi lives a noisy everyday life with his boisterous father and younger brother. Born and raised there, the shy young man is caught off guard when a beautiful black-haired girl around his age arrives at his home. At first, he fails to recognize her—but she is Mariya Sawamori, the girl who spent several months in the village a few years earlier and left a lasting impression on his heart. Their reunion brings back a love that began the moment they first met, along with the promise they once made to marry each other. Through an unexpected turn of events, Mariya comes to stay with the Muranushi family. With the distance between them finally gone, the feelings they have held onto begin to grow again. Their bond deepens quickly, and the reunited pair become lovers.
