Description

Muv-Luv Alternative Chronicles Vol.1 brings together three short stories from the Muv-Luv universe: TDA00, Rain Dancers, and Chicken Divers. The collection includes director’s cut editions of Rain Dancers and Chicken Divers alongside the new Muv-Luv Unlimited The Day After, which explores events following the conclusion of Muv-Luv Unlimited. Desktop accessories, movies, and radio clips round out the package, offering more material for readers interested in the series’ science-fiction world. Originally titled マブラヴ オルタネイティヴ クロニクルズ01, this collection was developed by Age and lists Alternative Projects as its publisher. Its Japanese release dates to July 30, 2010, with the English release following on May 16, 2014. Listed on VNDB as Muv-Luv Alternative Chronicles Vol.1, it offers approximately 2–10 hours of reading. This final, censored Windows version is presented in English, with voice acting and 2D CG artwork. Its listed features include kinetic-novel storytelling, multiple male and female protagonists, and turn-based combat. Mature-content tags cover oral, anal, and vaginal sex, handjobs, masturbation, breast sex, virginity, multiple penetration, drug use, rape, and graphic violence. For the intended series progression, begin with Muv-Luv’s Extra and Unlimited stories before reading Muv-Luv Alternative, whose setting combines mecha combat against aliens threatening humanity with multiverses and international political intrigue. The suggested route selection prioritizes Sumika and Meiya in Extra and Meiya’s ending in Unlimited; the Unlimited endings are largely similar, while Extra’s Normal and Marimo endings and Unlimited’s Yuuko ending are optional short comedic detours. Haruko Maniax, the Kashiwagi Haruko fandisc, comes next, followed by this volume in the order TDA00, Rain Dancers, then Chicken Divers. Continue with Muv-Luv Alternative Chronicles Vol.2, reading TDA01 before Aspiration; Vol.3 is also listed as a sequel. Installation and play require the Windows system locale to be set to Japanese; AppLocale will not work. Mount CHRONICLES01.ISO and run setup.exe as administrator, then copy afhook.rpo into the game’s Plugins folder and afhook.pkg into the main game folder. Launch オルタクロニクルズ01.exe to start. Keep the default installation folder name, マブラヴオルタネイティヴクロニクルズ 01, unchanged.
