Knucklebomb! introduces Lucca and Danielle “Danni” Beren, a devoted couple whose contrasting personalities complement each other. Both characters’ names will be customizable. Lighthearted and aloof, Lucca rarely takes life too seriously, favoring action over careful planning and spontaneity over structure. Beneath that easygoing exterior, however, lies a martial arts prodigy with few equals in the galaxy. He keeps his past to himself, and his search for his brother is underway when the game begins. Lucca is also a Psyker, someone gifted with unique psychic abilities. Rather than reading minds or glimpsing the future, he channels his power inward, gaining speed, strength, and resilience beyond those of an ordinary person. His abilities also include a special trick that may explain the name Knucklebomb! Danni is the more serious, analytical, and responsible half of the pair, though she certainly has a sense of humor. A resourceful all-rounder with particular expertise in machines and computers, she combines intelligence with street smarts and almost always has a plan. Growing up poor on the fringes, moving between colonies, ships, and stations, gave her a broad collection of skills and contacts on both sides of the law. She deliberately leads with kindness, but anyone who mistakes her warmth for gullibility will regret pushing her too far. Lucca and Danni share a loving, committed relationship and rarely question each other’s intentions. Both enjoy playing around, with planned encounters involving male, female, femboy, and futa partners, human and alien alike, either separately or together. The intention is to make these encounters optional for both characters, although some intimate scenes between Lucca and Danni themselves will not be optional.
