Description

An incubus’s touch is said to loosen human inhibitions, giving people the confidence to act on their desires. In a Scent follows a young incubus whose father cuts him off from the family fortune until he proves himself worthy of his ancestors. With no access to that wealth and little preparation for what comes next, he enters the human realm—and immediately makes a spectacularly awkward first impression. Confronted by the first family he meets, he panics and blurts out, “I’m your long-lost son!” That desperate introduction sets the tone for a raunchy, low-brow comedy about an obnoxious protagonist with plenty of growing up to do. Follow his progression from an ill-prepared troublemaker into a capable incubus, with his supernatural heritage and disastrous opening claim at the heart of the premise. In a Scent leans into crude humor rather than treating its protagonist’s journey as a solemn supernatural coming-of-age story. Developed by Domiek, also known for Personal Trainer, In a Scent is uncensored and presented in English, with support for Windows, Linux, and Mac and a Steam store listing. The listed release date is June 23, 2023, and the featured version is Episode 4, Part 1 (v1.035); the separately listed Mac build is v1.02b. Community ports, patches, translations, and other extras are unofficial rather than developer releases, and the unofficial incest patch changes the story. The developer asks players who enjoy the project to support it and does not authorize the sharing of patron-only content.
