Description

In Heatwave: Sam’s Stay, Sam’s final summer before university takes an unexpected turn when he finds himself staying at Michael’s house. His mother’s ex-husband is someone he hasn’t seen in more than ten years—and the memories Sam has of him are far from fond. What should have been a brief visit brings him face-to-face with a past he would rather leave behind. As old resentment collides with unexpected curiosity, the stay becomes more complicated than Sam anticipated. Meeting new people and grappling with unfamiliar thoughts, he begins to question what he wants and how to make sense of the feelings this summer brings. What starts as a situation to endure gradually becomes a journey of self-discovery. With university on the horizon, Sam must navigate more than an uncomfortable reunion: he has to confront his own desires and discover what they mean to him.
