Description

Carnas is a prosperous city-state built on a flourishing magical culture and ruled by accomplished magic users. Here, machinery is considered an insult to the sacred arcane arts, yet the remnants of a lost technological age lie directly beneath the city. Hidden below its streets is the Dragonschaft, a vast labyrinth inhabited by monstrous creatures and filled with the forgotten wonders of an extinct mechanical civilization. As people capable of controlling these ancient machines begin to appear, magic’s long-standing supremacy faces a challenge that unsettles Carnas—and especially those who govern it. Driven by boundless curiosity and guided by his father’s final words, the young adventurer Rustar ventures into the ruins. His unusual ability to wield both magic and machinery places him between the two forces reshaping his world. Within the Dragonschaft, his path crosses that of Persy, a spirited young woman carrying an ancient artifact. Together, they press farther into the mysterious underworld, where the truth behind a bygone era awaits discovery. Their descent unfolds as the resurgence of mechanical civilization threatens the magical balance Carnas has preserved for centuries. With rival ideologies stirring unrest above and ancient secrets awakening below, Rustar and Persy become caught in events that will change both their lives and the city’s future. The labyrinth holds more than relics: its mysteries are bound to the conflict between Carnas’s cherished traditions and the return of its buried past. Created to celebrate Ninetail’s 10th anniversary, Gears Of Dragoon – Fragments Of A New Era is presented as the studio’s magnum opus. Drawing on classic JRPGs, it pairs intense combat with immersive top-down exploration, inviting players to brave the Dragonschaft and uncover the mechanical legacy beneath a world of magic.
