Description

Do I Look Funny To You? is a point-and-click psychological horror puzzle game inspired by Trioskaz’ No, I’m Not A Human, with an entirely original story and creatures distinct from its visitors. A mysterious swarm of shapeshifters known as “Mimes” has begun terrorizing your home province—and possibly regions far beyond it. When sunlight heats their gaseous blood, it produces a dangerous airborne compound that makes venturing outdoors during the day unsafe. Anyone without shelter must secure a place to stay before sunrise. Unfortunately, you live alone in a home with plenty of room for guests. Question the strangers at your door, choose whom to admit, and get to know your new housemates through the uneasy intimacy of shared shelter. A Mime may slip past your initial judgment, but its disguise is imperfect: manual investigations and various tests can help expose an impostor. Those methods are invasive, however, and may damage your relationships with the people living under your roof. You can demand compliance through strict authority or respect individual needs and preferences to maintain morale. Searching for interactive objects, navigating dialogue trees, and investigating your guests form the core of the puzzle-solving experience. Erotic elements are planned as an inseparable part of both the narrative and gameplay, within a bleak scenario where preserving your life can mean surrendering autonomy and dignity. Sexual encounters will be largely nonconsensual, and your approach can range from reluctant accommodation to predatory authority. The intended presentation is deliberately vulgar and clinical rather than romantic, treating sex and the body with the harsh scrutiny of an autopsy table. Expect uncanny imagery, grotesque details, and gore, alongside unmistakably feminine monsters that are not designed to resemble conventionally attractive women. The visual direction combines stylized, semi-realistic illustration with photobashed environments assembled from public-domain photographs and textures. Characters will be hand-drawn and brought to life through a mixture of traditional animation and Live2D. Furry characters are not planned. Together, these choices support a claustrophobic horror experience built around uncertain identities, intrusive scrutiny, and the difficult balance between keeping a household cooperative and keeping yourself alive.
