Description

In Do As I Say – Obedience To The Village Leader, Suzune returns to the village where she spent her childhood after a sudden accident claims both of her parents. With no relatives left to turn to, she is taken in by the village chief. There, she reunites with her childhood friend—the protagonist—and their meeting brings back memories of the years they once shared. Yet the familiarity of her surroundings is shadowed by an unsettling welcome. Her friend’s grandfather, who holds the hereditary position of village chief, watches Suzune with undisguised lust. He also assigns his grandson a particular role, drawing the protagonist into circumstances shaped by the elder’s authority. Behind this reunion lies a village custom preserved for more than 300 years to ensure the continuation of its descendants. Suzune’s return places her amid that enduring tradition, where childhood ties and the chief’s intentions cast an uneasy shadow over the refuge she has been offered.
