Description

Dearth S takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity’s population is steadily dwindling. In these desperate times, women choose only Alpha males as reproductive partners, leaving lower-class men without a future. In response, those men form the Alliance and wage war against the Alphas, setting the stage for a bitter conflict over survival and reproduction. From the Alliance emerge the Four Great Doctors, who create beings known as Synonyms to appease the remaining lower classes. Each Synonym can reproduce only with the man they were born with, and lower-class men are likewise dependent on their matching Synonym to have offspring. This incestuous arrangement enrages the Alpha males, whose retaliation forces the Four Great Doctors into hiding and brings Synonym production to a halt. You play as a member of the Alliance searching for his lost Synonym. With his chance to reproduce tied entirely to finding her, the search is far more than a personal longing: it is his only hope of having descendants in a dying world. Yet what begins as a simple wish to bring his Synonym back promises to become something much more “thrilling.
