In Circumstances, the main character seems beyond saving until a little girl appears out of nowhere and pulls him back from the edge of a cliff. That unexpected encounter becomes the foundation of an unbreakable bond—one that both come to value more than their own lives. Set against a hostile environment, the story begins by exploring their connection and the possibility of finding family in each other. Their devotion provides an emotional anchor in an unforgiving world, but that fragile sense of hope is only the beginning. Then all hell breaks loose, throwing their already difficult circumstances into chaos.
