Description

MONSTER CODEX invites you into a dark fantasy world where a royal commission leads to unusual creatures and discoveries. Created by Brad, this adult visual novel is a standalone sequel to MONSTERLAY, combining monster lore, exploration, and collectible cards in a fantasy setting with horror themes.

Your assignment is to complete a monster codex for the royal court. Travel across different regions, encounter their inhabitants, and learn about each species and its way of life. Every encounter contributes to your understanding of the world as you work toward fulfilling the court’s request.

Collect character and event cards throughout your journey, building a record of the monsters you meet and the experiences you uncover. Featuring 2D CG and AI-generated CG artwork, MONSTER CODEX pairs its visual novel presentation with a discovery-focused adventure. Version 2026.10.7 includes six playable characters in a free release, with no payment or Patreon membership required.
