Description

In Room 801, Hiyori Yasaka is a rookie office worker at a notoriously exploitative company. After a grueling day that leaves her without even a chance to eat, she returns to her company dorm late at night, exhausted and starving. A trip to a ramen shop promises some much-needed relief—until an encounter with an evil spirit turns her search for dinner into a nightmare. With the apparition looming over her and escape seemingly impossible, Hiyori suddenly finds herself standing outside her own room again. She has no explanation for how she got there and wonders whether the terrifying encounter was only a dream. Before she can collect herself, a mysterious woman appears and leaves a cryptic set of instructions on a posted notice: if anything seems out of the ordinary, return to your room; if nothing seems wrong, proceed to the elevator. The woman vanishes without a trace, leaving Hiyori bewildered and alone with the strange directions. Unsure of what has happened or what awaits her, she decides to follow them. What began as an ordinary late-night outing now hinges on a troubling question: does everything around her truly look as it should?
