Description

In Cosplayers Quest, a shy young woman sees cosplay as a ray of hope—a way to transform herself and move beyond the self-doubt that holds her back. Despite her passion, she has never attended a cosplay event or shared her costumes on social media. In fact, no one has ever seen her in cosplay. Her habit of thinking “someone like me…” keeps her out of the spotlight, even as she dreams of finding the confidence to express herself. Her reluctance to appear in public does not mean she wants to shut others out. She hopes to make cosplay friends someday, or simply meet people she can talk to about her favorite anime. Beneath her reserved nature and pessimistic outlook is a genuine desire for connection, with cosplay offering a possible bridge between her private enthusiasm and the friendships she longs for. The story sees her transported to another world while dressed as the anime character REMU. Her costume is entirely handmade, revealing a level of craftsmanship that contrasts with her lack of confidence. Even the residents of this other world—cosplayers themselves—compliment its high quality, recognizing the skill she has so far kept hidden from everyone.
