The central twist is the screening process: users classified as “BETA” are excluded from the main dating pool and encounter locked features from the start. Rather than offering a straightforward path to connection, PULLHOUSE builds its premise around exclusion and unequal access. The fictional app interface gives that premise a familiar setting, making its restrictions central to the experience.
