Description

Ashgrove is a city crumbling beneath a veneer of ordinary life. Poverty is soaring, crime runs rampant, and the wealthy tighten their grip while the poor fall further behind. Gangs control much of the city, and the police and other state institutions are either complicit in the suffering or unwilling to intervene. Amid this decay, women are vanishing from the streets with no apparent pattern. Yet even these disappearances are only part of the darkness threatening Ashgrove: a war between Angels and Demons, hidden from humanity for millennia, has spilled onto its streets. In The Avenging Angel, you are a young adult haunted by an abusive upbringing, sharing a home with your mother and retreating into fantasies to escape the pain of your past. As the city around you deteriorates, you remain trapped in your own wounds—until chance, misfortune, or divine intention binds you to an Angel. Through her, you gain superhuman abilities that could give you the power to confront the forces consuming Ashgrove. But extraordinary power alone cannot free you from the past. To liberate your city, you must face the scars that have kept you from moving forward. Will you remain another forgotten soul discarded by a cruel world, or find the strength to grow beyond your suffering and become the Avenging Angel?
