Description

REQ Game Compression Requests 3.0 is a community hub for requesting smaller game downloads, with all compression work handled by volunteers. Supported engines and formats include non-encrypted xp3, RPGM MV/MZ, RPGM VX ACE, Ren’Py, Wolf RPG, HTML, QSP (old and new versions), TyranoBuilder, Java, Adobe Flash, Godot Engine, Electron Engine, Pixel Game Maker MV, Game-Maker (.win files), and Unity. Whether a particular game can be compressed depends on its code and the formats used for its images, audio, and video. Requests must be for games of at least 750 MB; smaller requests will be ignored, although volunteers may choose to compress games of any size. Requesters should check both the current requests and Game Compression Request 2.0 for duplicates, remain courteous, and submit no more than five requests within 24 hours so others have a chance to participate and large backlogs are avoided. Begging or rude behavior can lead to deleted posts and a warning. Compressors should reply to the relevant request when they begin work, then update that reply with a download link once the compression is finished. If a request has already been fulfilled, ask the original compressor to add the alternative version to their post, and keep compression posts tidy. Each release must be uploaded to at least two approved file hosts, with three to five recommended. Playtesting to check for corruption is strongly recommended but optional, as is repacking Ren’Py games into their RPA archives. Only publicly released games may be compressed: reserving a game or distributing a compressed version before its public release is prohibited under General Rule 3.7. For games with a separate patch for Rule 7 content, the patch must not be applied to the uploaded game; the game and patch must remain separate. A request-tracking site is available, with access available to compressors on request and a help section explaining its use. A bot queues posts containing a game-thread link alongside recognized request phrases: “please compress,” “pls compress,” “plz compress,” “compress please,” “compress pls,” “compress plz,” “compress request,” “requesting compress,” “need compressed,” “would like compressed,” “can you compress,” or “any chance compress.” Delivery posts are recognized separately rather than treated as new requests. Typical completion formats include a “COMPRESSED: Win/Linux/Mac” heading with download hosts such as PIXELDRAIN or WORKUPLOAD, “Compressed post is located here,” “Done” or “Completed” alongside a game title or thread link, “Compression done,” “Compression completed,” or a compressed heading followed by game titles. Only users holding the compressor badge can mark requests complete, and the bot verifies that badge. Compressions are no longer collected in the opening post; to find them, search for the game’s name or full thread title followed by “compressed,” then sort results by Most Recent. Several titles are excluded from requests because their developers have already compressed them: AiRevolution; Back Again Rework; Bloom War; Cane and Able; Corrupted Academy; Go!Go!PizzaBoy!; God Tier Academy; Goddesses’ Whim; Goodbye Eternity; GoonTGram; Harmony Girls; Her Hidden Voice; High School Hobby Harlots; Hottest Summer; Irreverent Heresy (I & II); Journey into Sissyhood (Chapter 2); Keepers 2 : Shattered Realms; Lewd Town Adventures; Lustful College Rework; Male’s Hunter Daily Adventure; and Mutual Corruption. Live in Corruption and Lustful Sin are also already compressed by their developers, but their non-crunched versions may be requested. Merging of the Stars is excluded because it is already developer-compressed and uses custom file endings. Big City Pleasures LQ Version is already compressed, and compressing it again severely degrades its appearance. Milfs and War is excluded because compression breaks its animations, while leaving those animations uncompressed makes the process not worthwhile. Millhaven uses custom developer encryption, and Private Lives is excluded because compression has already been completed.
