Description

The BloodRiver Saga: Retransmitter reimagines Izuku Midoriya’s story in a My Hero Academia parody that challenges his familiar image as a “true hero.” Usually willing to go to extraordinary lengths for the peace and safety of others, Izuku faces a different beginning here—one that calls his idealism into question. In this alternate reality, the person who grants him power is not the No. 1 hero, but a cold, unscrupulous man who is counting on Izuku being unable to refuse him. That change reshapes the foundation of his journey, replacing an inspiring gift with an arrangement defined by a far less trustworthy benefactor. The result is a less idealized Izuku: neither the pure-hearted hero everyone expects nor a heartless villain who has abandoned his humanity. The BloodRiver Saga: Retransmitter explores that uneasy middle ground, offering a darker take on a familiar character while leaving room for the human qualities that still define him.
