Dark Temptations follows Dean, a young IT professional who reluctantly strikes a bargain with the demon Sathuriel: he can relive the same week as often as he likes until he is satisfied with the outcome. In return, Sathuriel claims to ask for nothing more than the chance to observe, taking pleasure in watching Dean’s life unfold through different choices. What begins as an opportunity to reconsider decisions soon becomes a complicated exploration of the city, its people, and the consequences of having time on your side. Choices shape the story in this visual novel, but progress depends on more than selecting a different answer. You’ll repeat Dean’s week many times, pursuing specific objectives and information while opening up a wider range of locations and characters through where you go, whom you meet, and how you behave. Planning your schedule around the people you want to spend time with—and learning how to make the most of each repeat—is essential. Along the way, Dean can unlock changes that ripple backward through time, reshaping relationships and, in some cases, altering people’s attitudes and even their bodies. As Dean grows closer to the women around him, their lives become increasingly connected, with more scenes exploring their social and sexual relationships with one another. Yet the ability to replay encounters, uncover personal information, and refine every approach raises uncomfortable questions about the boundary between helping someone and manipulating them. Dark Temptations contains plenty of adult situations, but it is not simply an escapist fantasy: it asks how far Dean is willing to go, which lines he might cross, and what could happen if Sathuriel breaks the bargain, leaving him to face destructive consequences he can no longer undo. Currently available as a technical demo, the game includes the first story for Charlotte, Dean’s mildly goth coworker, alongside other office antics involving the people who work there. This initial slice introduces the ongoing story and its blend of time-loop planning, evolving relationships, and morally complicated choices.
