What would you do if you could stop time—or rewind it to undo a mistake? Arms Of Time follows Mike, a protagonist you can rename, as an unsuccessful job-hunting trip brings him back home. With his father declared dead a few years earlier following a mysterious disappearance, Mike is forced to return to the landlord and two roommates he lived with before leaving. Two days after his return, a strange old man approaches him with a proposal he isn’t allowed to refuse. When Mike wakes the next morning, he begins losing sensation and control in his right arm at the worst possible moment. Only then does he discover what really happened the day before: he has gained the ability to control time, at the literal cost of an arm. His new power lets him stop time and even rewind it for a limited period, with the duration depending on the arm’s power level. But these abilities come with unexpected side effects, some potentially useful and others less welcome—and time manipulation may not be the full extent of what the arm can do. Your choices guide Mike along one of three routes toward three possible endings, determined by his alignment with good or evil. As the story progresses, he will eventually be able to visit various destinations on a world map, meeting both human and non-human characters who can alter the course of the game. If the arm reaches the necessary power level and the project’s Patreon goals are met, the planned scope will extend to the stars and beyond, giving Mike an even larger stage on which to use—or abuse—his extraordinary abilities.
