Description

In Koikata: How Our Love Grows, two neighboring schools are preparing for a shared future. Seiou Gakuen and Shiraba Gakuen will merge next spring, coinciding with the marriage of their respective chairmen. To understand how the students feel about the coming changes, Chairman Rin asks Seiou student Ren and student council leader Saori to gather their concerns. They soon enlist Yukie, the student council leader at Shiraba, and begin listening to students from both schools. What they discover goes well beyond the practical challenges of combining two campuses. Some students face the closure of their dormitory or the elimination of smaller clubs, while others struggle with their attachment to their school, fears of losing the chance to pursue their dreams, or troubles at home. Behind the merger’s promise of a new beginning are personal worries that cannot be resolved with a simple announcement. As Ren reaches out to help the girls navigate these difficulties, their lives become increasingly intertwined—until they find themselves living together as “lovers.” Against a backdrop of changing school life and uncertain futures, Koikata: How Our Love Grows brings its characters’ hopes, anxieties, and growing relationships into focus.
