Description

Boxed Girl opens with an uneasy expectation: she has never been trained, and the person waiting for her believes she may try to run away the moment she comes out. Yet that possibility has already been considered, and preparations are in place. At the heart of this dark premise is a determination to shape her behavior according to someone else’s preferences. The narrator’s intentions are clear, but her response remains uncertain, leaving a tense contrast between the possibility of escape and the confidence of someone who believes they are ready for it.
