Description

In Milfheim: The Twisted, Damian returns to his hometown for his first university vacation, hoping to reconnect with friends and meet new people. Placed in an orphanage for reasons he has never understood, he spent his teenage years in foster care before becoming a college student. Now, back in the beautiful, comfortably sized city of Milfheim, he takes a room in a house owned by Helen and settles in for the break. But living beneath Helen’s roof begins to change his impression of both his host and his hometown. Behind her welcoming smile, Damian senses a side of her he has yet to understand, while the city reveals dark corners he never noticed as a child. As he looks more closely, he discovers that many of the people who shaped his early life are bound together in a complicated web of connections. Why does Helen become uneasy whenever the past comes up, and what truths has his foster mother kept to herself? Surrounded by women whose feelings are difficult to untangle, Damian must confront a turbulent mix of desire, love, maternal affection, friendship, envy, jealousy, anger, and sorrow. Just as he enters adulthood, what began as a homecoming draws him deeper into Milfheim’s hidden, forbidden secrets—and the unanswered questions surrounding his own past.
