Description

In A Wife At Stake, Laura is a beautiful, determined 26-year-old Italian woman who knows what she wants and is ready to pursue it. Together with her partner, Mario, she faces a future she hopes will include a house in her hometown and a store of her own. But in a relatively poor part of the country, finding the money to make those ambitions a reality is no easy task. It is Mario who pushes Laura toward an adventure that takes her far beyond the life she knows. She enters an unfamiliar world where money seems easier to come by, particularly for someone young and beautiful. For a woman eager to build her own future, that promise holds an undeniable appeal. Yet the opportunities before Laura come with dangers of their own. As her ambitions draw her into this new environment, A Wife At Stake follows her into the uncertain territory between the life she wants and the risks that stand along the way.
