Description

Sophia’s Spa traces its beginnings to a small neighborhood massage parlor, where Sophia started working as a young adult. When the owner retired, Sophia took over and kept the business running. Later, an opportunity to purchase an abandoned city bath at a low price gave her the chance to build something bigger. She transformed the property into a modern spa and wellness center, naming it Sophia’s Spa while retaining the “massage parlor” name as a tribute to where her career began. Set in the city park and catering to a wealthy clientele, Sophia’s Spa has enjoyed years of success. But with competition growing fiercer, Sophia realizes that the business cannot simply carry on as before. Over the past few days, she has spoken with her employees and asked about rival establishments, trying to understand what they are doing differently. Every conversation has pointed toward the same conclusion: changes are needed. Now, a morning staff meeting will bring those concerns into the open. Sophia is ready to explain the situation to the women on her team and outline the adjustments she believes are necessary. For a business built on years of hard work, the next step is finding a way to stay competitive without losing sight of its roots.
