Grizzly Grove welcomes you to a sprawling coastal city filled with outrageous plots, deliberately cringe-worthy lines, and the possibility of finding true love. You play as Ryan McBright, a 27-year-old man whose name you can customize, returning to his hometown after ten years away. A bitter argument with his mother drove him to leave the family home and move in with his uncle, with whom he stayed while finishing high school and later working for his business. Now, rather than leave his past behind forever, Ryan has decided to return. With his uncle’s help, he rents an apartment in Grizzly Grove and sets out to build a life of his own. Whether he makes it work or retreats to his uncle’s house is up to you. This heavily text-based sandbox centers on gay romance, letting you choose your path through the city’s available storylines. Explore different locations, meet a variety of characters, and get to know a city full of hairy, daddy-looking men—the inspiration behind the Grizzly Grove name. Gay content is an integral, unavoidable part of the experience; although the game also carries a vaginal sex tag, that does not make its gay focus optional. Currently, two love interests have fully implemented storylines: Dalton Jhonson, your landlord and potential boss if you join JCS, and Garrett Kennedy, your MMA coach at the gym. More storylines are planned for the future. As the developer’s first game, Grizzly Grove has been shaped by community feedback throughout a year of development, bringing together open-ended exploration, larger-than-life storytelling, and a chance to make a fresh start.
