Description

Life on the streets of a ruthless cyber city is a fate nobody wants—but S.L.A.T. Foundation offers a glimmer of hope. For a young man facing depression and an uncertain future, the organization promises help. All he needs to do is sign the paperwork and put himself in its hands. The Foundation’s approach to treatment goes far beyond a sympathetic ear. Drugs, body-altering procedures, and brain surgery are all part of its promised cure, delivered with cheerful assurances that he will love the results. Behind that reassuring welcome, however, lies a troubling question: what does this generosity really cost? In S.L.A.T. Foundation, kindness comes with an intimate obligation. Once the treatments have left him with a feminine body, the organization expects that body as repayment. Its offer turns the hope of escaping a cruel city into a dark bargain, where the promise of care is inseparable from the demands that follow.
