Description

Summer Haze 1 brings the first chapter of the creator’s comic to Ren’Py as a visual novel adaptation. Rather than a traditional game, this release presents the comic in a new format, with a few animations added to the experience. The creator has also expressed interest in adapting future chapters if readers enjoy this first installment. The Price family appears to have an idyllic suburban life: a mother, a father, and their son, with occasional backyard barbecues bringing the neighbors together. Jack attends a prestigious college and is rarely home outside the holidays, making his visits a particular source of excitement for his parents. Beneath that cheerful domestic picture, however, his mother, Natalie, is struggling with feelings she is ashamed to acknowledge. As Natalie watches her son grow into a handsome young man, her attachment develops into an increasingly obsessive infatuation. When summer arrives and Jack returns home for an extended break, the feelings she has tried to contain become harder to control, unsettling the apparent happiness of the Price household.
