Description

The Manual of Flesh plunges you into the story of a devout but secretly conflicted Acolyte, sent to cleanse a corruption-ravaged island—a mission that demands the purity she has never truly felt. Tormented her whole life by dark urges she was taught to suppress, she greets her holy calling with barely contained thrill, forcing herself to appear calm and collected until she finally sets foot on the island. Her superiors, however, never intended her to travel alone: a full ship of templars and a Priestess accompany her on the voyage, and the crossing passes peacefully until the island comes into view.

Without warning, black clouds roll in and a downpour so violent she cannot see the ship’s bow descends upon them. Terrified, she can do nothing as the vessel drives straight onto the coastal rocks and splinters apart. Cast into the sea, she sinks deeper into the dark water as her hope fades with every breath she cannot draw. Then she awakens on the shore—and so begins her adventure of corruption and discovery.

Version 0.2.0-a delivers an early but promising slice of the full experience, with hand-crafted art and a narrative that rewards curiosity.
