Cassie Marlowe belongs to the Veilbreakers, an outlawed faction determined to expose the secrets of NexaCorp. Ryke Voss is a corporate police officer intent on bringing her down. When a Veilbreaker virus threatens to reveal classified information before causing a catastrophic mainframe meltdown, Ryke undergoes an experimental consciousness transfer called Neuro-Splicing. Inside Cassie’s body, he must infiltrate a mixed-gender maximum-security prison and extract crucial information from Clyde and Eric before time runs out.

Meanwhile, Cassie awakens in Ryke’s body with something she has never possessed: access to the corporation’s own ranks. The planned dual-protagonist structure explores both sides of this exchange, pairing a prison-infiltration thriller with an investigation behind enemy lines. Opposing loyalties, hidden agendas, and unsettling discoveries challenge what both characters believe about NexaCorp—and themselves.
