One year after the events at Honnoji Academy, Ryuko returns to reconnect with her sister Satsuki, her last remaining relative. Satsuki has launched a new crusade, surrounding herself only with those she deems the purest—and leaving Ryuko with no easy way back into her life.

To reach Satsuki, Ryuko must enter an enormous tournament and fight her way through rivals determined to earn the president’s favor. Every opponent has a reason to stand in her way, and beating Satsuki’s own sister could be the perfect opportunity to get noticed. The tournament-driven premise brings competitive tension and personal stakes together, turning a quest for reconciliation into a struggle to bring Satsuki back to her senses.
